Our Mission

To create unforgettable, fleeting moments of connection between artists and audiences in the best cities in the world for art appreciation—those electric, unpredictable, art-soaked places where the streets speak louder than the museums.
We’re not bound by four walls or fixed hours. We live for the spark that happens when unexpected spaces turn into art playgrounds, where curiosity is currency and anyone walking by can become part of it.

Maria Stola - Director.jpg

Maria Stola

Founder & Director

Trained as a lyrical singer under the stars of Buenos Aires' Teatro Colón, Maria later shifted her creative energy into an Art Degree with a focus on Latin American art. Her career has taken her through top galleries across the globe, from Paris to New York, where she immersed herself in diverse art scenes and connected with artists from every corner of the world.
But after years of working within gallery walls, Maria realized that art doesn’t belong to one place—it lives everywhere. Every city, with its own history and cultural rhythm, inspires different creative expressions. This sparked the idea for The Pop-Up Gallery:  a roaming exhibition concept rooted in the belief that art is a global language, and that great shows don’t need a permanent zip code.
Now, as Director of The Pop-Up Gallery, Maria curates experiences that are inclusive, unexpected, and wildly inspiring—bringing contemporary art to new spaces, new audiences, and new ways of seeing.

Julia Perez

Co-Director

Julia Pérez is a photographer, global citizen, and curator of meaningful experiences—both in art and in business. She has spent the past two decades living and working across the world—from photographing mosques in Turkey and temples in Hong Kong to managing nonprofit operations in conflict-affected regions. Her work reflects a lifelong passion for storytelling, people, and the cultural textures that make each place—and person—unique.

Trained in photography at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya in Barcelona, Julia built a career in travel and street photography, often drawn to themes of resilience, adaptation, and identity. Her lens has captured safaris in Tanzania, the ruins of Southern Spain, and the lives of winemakers across the globe—leading to the publication of her book, The Winemakers of Paso Robles.

Certified in both HR and DEI strategy, Julia's leadership extends beyond her visual arts journey to encompass international Operations teams. Her strategic focus on nonprofit growth and global inclusion, built upon a foundation of organizational development and people-centered systems, provides a thoughtful and pragmatic lens through which she approaches her creative work.

As Co-Director of The Pop-Up Gallery, Julia bridges her two worlds—the structure of business and the spirit of art—to help create exhibitions that are logistically seamless, visually compelling, and globally minded. She believes that art, like people, thrives when it moves freely.
